Kicking Off With Our Member Art Contest
We're excited to announce a special art contest exclusively for members of the Art Club of McKinney for the 2025 Art Meets Poetry event, an annual collaboration between the Art Club of McKinney and Mockingbird Poetry Society. This contest is for artwork that will be featured on our promotional materials and raffled live at the event! All raffle proceeds will directly fund this inspiring event, where creativity flourishes as art and poetry come together.
Submission Deadline: Friday, September 6, 2024.
To participate, please email a quality, print-ready, high-resolution JPEG of your artwork to theartclubofmckinney@gmail.com. Make sure to include the title of your piece, the medium, size, and price.

What is Art Meets Poetry?
It’s an event where art inspires poetry, and poetry inspires art. Artists and poets are paired, with artists creating pieces based on poems, and poets crafting verses inspired by art. These pairings are the heart of the event. Last year, we showcased 40 pairings to an audience of over 280 attendees and raised over $680 for local charities. The event features live poetry readings, artist insights, and a meaningful community connection.
