The Art Club of McKinney, TX, in sponsorship with Collective Coffee and the City of McKinney, is pleased to present the 2025 High School Student Art Show showcasing artwork from public, private, and homeschool high school students. The show provides the community an opportunity to view and appreciate the sophisticated artwork created by the emerging generations of visual art talent in our area, while also granting students an opportunity to prepare and show their work in a competitive, judged, public art show - sometimes for the first time.
Registration: Public, private, and homeschool high school art students are invited to register. Register online using the link above. *Teachers can register their students or students can register independently.
Registration Deadline: Monday, October 13th by Midnight
Categories and Awards:
Per category: 1st – $100, 2nd – $75, Honorable Mention – $25 Categories may be adjusted based on submissions. Additional awards: President’s Award – $150; Best in Show – $125
Entry Fee: 10$ Per Entry, Max of 2 Entries Per Student *Scholarships are available for students who need assistance with the entry fee. Please contact Show Chair Oshi Sanyal mckinneyartclubevents@gmail.com for more information.
Artwork Drop Off Date/Time: Artwork must be delivered to Collective Coffee Thursday, October 23rd between 4-6pm. Either students, parents, or teachers can drop artwork off at the venue. All work must be labeled and ready to hang. *If you are unable to drop your artwork off on the designated date/time, please contact Show Chair Oshi Sanyal mckinneyartclubevents@gmail.com to make arrangements ahead of time to schedule an alternate drop off date/time.
Artwork Requirements:
2D Work (Painting, Drawing, Photography, Etc)
3D Work (Sculpture, Aseemblage, Installation, Etc)
Artwork Pick Up Date/Time: All artwork must be picked up at Collective Coffee on Sunday, November 2nd between 12-2pm. Any work that is not picked up will incur a $10/day storage fee. *If you are unable to pick up your work at the designated date/time, please contact Show Chair Oshi Sanyal mckinneyartclubevents@gmail.com to make arrangements ahead of time to schedule an alternate pick up date/time.

DownloadWe are thrilled to announce the return of Chris Turner as our guest judge for the 2025 High School Student Art Show. After receiving rave reviews last year, Chris's keen eye for detail and deep appreciation for the beauty and thought behind each piece of art made him a standout judge. Chris is a visual storyteller best known for his vibrant abstract paintings. His artwork is celebrated for its rich, expressive colors and dynamic compositions, and can be found in numerous private collections across the United States. He has garnered recognition in prestigious juried competitions, selected by internationally acclaimed museum curators from the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. We are excited to have Chris back with us this year and look forward to his insights and expertise as he explores and evaluates the incredible talent of our high school artists.
