                                                               MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Art Club of McKinney is to elevate the community’s artistic standards by providing inclusive, high-quality education and programming. Through workshops, exhibitions, other events, meetings, and partnerships and collaborations, we foster and expand creative growth, celebrate diverse perspectives, and welcome artists and art enthusiasts of all backgrounds and skill levels. We prioritize accessibility and clear communication—so every member can learn, contribute, thrive, and grow in their knowledge of art. We create community within the organization and the greater area.

                                                                       WHAT WE DO

What we do includes monthly member meetings with guest artists, skill-building workshops and demo days, artist talks, teen and student programs including our high school art exhibition, other exhibitions, pop-up shows and artisan markets, service projects, community murals, studio and museum field trips, scholarships and awards,  mentorship, and volunteer and leadership opportunities. We partner with local schools, nonprofits, and businesses to expand access to the visual arts, and we champion an atmosphere of encouragement—where feedback is kind, learning is hands-on, and makers of all backgrounds feel welcome. Whether you’re just beginning or building a professional practice, the Art Club of McKinney is a homebase to create, learn, and grow together.
